7th European Civil Protection Forum

The 7th edition of the Forum, organised by the European Commission on 28 and 29 June 2022, will be the first one after the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, it positions itself as the ideal platform for a timely and joint reflection on the current and future role of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism, whose success story is globally acknowledged.
Under the overarching theme “Towards faster, greener & smarter emergency management”, the Forum will tackle 4 policy axes:
- Strenghten Climate Resilience - Preparing for extreme weather events
- Protect our citizens - Adapting to new risks
- Europe in the world - Reaching beyond geographical boundaries
- Embrace Innovation & Digitalisation - Pooling our knowledge

Das KAHR – Projekt veranstaltet vom 29. bis 30. Juni 2022 eine wissenschaftliche Konferenz (online-Format). Forscher:innen unterschiedlicher Disziplinen, die sich mit den Auswirkungen und der Bewältigung von Flutkatastrophen und Fragen des klimaresilienten Wiederaufbaus beschäftigen, sind herzlich eingeladen einen Abstract einzureichen oder daran online teilzunehmen.

2022 High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development

The theme for the HLPF 2022 will be “Building back better from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) while advancing the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”.
The HLPF in 2022 will review in-depth Sustainable Development Goals 4 on quality education, 5 on gender equality, 14 on life below water, 15 on life on land, and 17 on partnerships for the Goals. The forum will take into account the different and particular impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic across all Sustainable Development Goals and the integrated, indivisible and interlinked nature of the Goals.
The meeting of the HLPF in 2022 will be held from Tuesday, 5 July, to Thursday, 7 July, and from Monday, 11 July, to Friday, 15 July 2022, under the auspices of the Economic and Social Council.

Fachtagung für Kritische Infrastrukturen mit begleitender Fachausstellung (KRIFA)

Die KRIFA wendet sich an Fachleute aus den Bereichen Katastrophenschutz und kritische Infrastrukturen, wie Feuerwehr, Rettungsdienst, Hilfsorganisationen, Gesundheitswesen sowie die zuständigen zivilen Gefahrenabwehrbehörden.
Ziel der KRIFA ist es, eine Plattform für den aktiven Austausch zu schaffen. "Best practice"-Vorträge und "Lessons learned" sind Basis des Programms.

Disaster Research Days 2022

Science and research play an essential role in preventing disasters and building resilient systems. The transfer of scientific knowledge into practice, as well as the joint discourse with representatives of experts from authorities, emergency organizations and business are crucial in order to be as prepared as possible for challenges in the prevention and management of disasters.
The Disaster Research Days 2022 support this dialogue and the networking between the individual scientific disciplines and departments in disaster management.
The #DRD22 will be held from October 13th to 14th at the University of Innsbruck.
