As part of the Joint Federal Government-Länder Tenure-Track Programme to promote young research talent, the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Bauhaus-Universität is seeking to fill a W1 professorship. Under this programme, the job advertisement is aimed at junior academics early on in their careers. The recruitment requirements of the Thuringian Higher Education Act (§ 89 ThürHG) apply.
The professorship is a part of the Institute of Structural Engineering and deals with the assessment and the evaluation of structural risk in the context of natural hazards in research as well as in teaching. Applicants should have dealt extensively with structural modelling, simulation, and measurement of extreme load effects from natural hazards.
