Assistant Professorship Tenure Track in Geomorphology and Natural Hazards

The Institute of Geography at the Faculty of Science of the University of Bern, Switzerland invites applications for the position Assistant Professorship Tenure Track in Geomorphology and Natural Hazards.

The successful candidate will build an internationally recognized research program in the field of geomorphology and natural hazards, which combines, ideally, basic and applied research. Preference is given to candidates with a strong geomorphology background and who explore innovative approaches to investigate processes related to exogenic natural hazards, future scenarios under climate and global societal change and the way (mountain) regions manage hazard related risks. The combination of modelling approaches with field-based research and observational data is particularly attractive.
