On October 24, 2023, the Disaster Preparedness and Crisis Communication Forum – for more security in communities – took place in Potsdam. Among other things, topics such as the importance of communication in times of crisis, the impact of a blackout, and network resilience and self-sufficient crisis communication were addressed. Mayors and representatives from municipalities and counties reported on local events and concepts in this regard.
DKKV´s Managing Director Benni Thiebes presented in this context the work of the DKKV as well as the lessons learned from the flood disaster 2021 in the Ahr valley in his presentation “master the disaster”.
